Kate Winslet Says Her Acting 'Could've Been Better' In 'Titanic'
'I think I look nicer now,' actress adds to MTV News at London premiere of film's 3-D version.

Kate Winslet has had a rough journey with "Titanic" premieres in the past. She missed the 1997 world premiere at Mann's Chinese Theatre when her ex-boyfriend, Stephen Tredre, tragically died of cancer. During the U.K. premiere, she was in the hospital suffering from dysentery she contracted in Morocco while filming "Hideous Kinky."
But as "Titanic" sets sail again 15 years later in 3-D, Winslet finally made a long overdue red-carpet appearance at the London premiere on Tuesday. MTV News caught up with the Academy Award-winning actress to find out how it feels to see the movie again in a new dimension. "It feels amazing," Winslet said. "I mean, it is a very strange experience because it's a long time since I've seen the film in its entirety."
In 1997, the retelling of the ship's disaster dominated the box office, raking in more than $600 million. The film stands strong as the second-highest-grossing box-office hit in the United States. But Winslet isn't worried about moviegoers and fans passing up the opportunity to see it in theaters again. While she says it looks different, she also believes it's much bigger, in a way. "It looks very different. I mean, it's still as wonderful and as epic as it always was. But it does feel bigger, you know, bigger somehow even than it did then, so it's very exciting," she said.
Having seen Rose again on the big screen, Winslet is critical of herself in the role, suggesting that there are things she would change if she could play the part all over again. "My American accent could've been much better. My acting could've been a lot better," she said. Her Oscar nomination for the role says otherwise.
And as far as seeing herself in 3-D, she's happier with the way she looks now. "I think I look nicer now," she said. "I prefer myself as a 36-year-old. It's really weird 'cause when you're 21 you think, 'Oh God, when I'm 36, oh God, that's nearly 40 and I'll look really old and wrinkly by then.' And actually I quite like the way I look. I feel OK about myself these days."
Audiences will be able to relive the story as the 3-D version of "Titanic" hits theaters on April 4.

'Punk'd': The Wanted, Demi Lovato Tease New Season
'We got pulled over by the police ...,' the Wanted's Tom Parker tells MTV News about group's appearance on the show.
By Jocelyn Vena, with additional reporting by Sway Calloway
The new season of "Punk'd," which kicks off Thursday (March 29) at 10 p.m. ET/PT, might be the most star-studded to date. Justin Bieber punks the likes of Taylor Swift and Rob Dyrdek, and Miley Cyrus had some fun at the expense of her beau, Liam Hemsworth, and Khloe Kardashian, just to name a few.
Those celebs aren't the only ones getting the wool pulled over their eyes. When MTV News caught up with boy band The Wanted in Las Vegas during spring break, they opened up about getting Punk'd by someone in their band. And while they kept the details of the practical joke slim, the excitement for it was clear.
"So we were outside 'Chelsea Lately' and there was a kid that came up to us, and then when we came out [after going in], she went missing," group member Tom Parker recalled. "And then we got pulled over by the police."
His bandmate Jay McGuiness was the man behind the prank and he knew exactly what would scare his buddies. "Your police in the U.S. are notoriously aggressive, so we were all 'Yes sir, yes sir, OK, whatever you say.' I was involved. I knew for about a week before and I was talking to their team — who were amazing — trying to work out what would scare them. And we know your police are much scarier than ours," he said. "I thought it was hilarious."
Much like the Wanted's internal prank, Demi Lovato got hers from her close friends in the group All Time Low. "My two friends, Jack [Gaskarth] and Alex [Barakat], they Punk'd me," she said. The guys got some help from Nick Cannon, and while she kept the details vague, she did share this with us: "I'm a sucker for, like, ghosts and aliens and stuff like that, so they got me pretty good."
Cannon, Lucy Hale, Mac Miller, Heather Morris, Bieber, Cyrus, Kellan Lutz, Bam Margera, Hayden Panettiere, "Punk'd" alumnus Dax Shepard and Tyler, the Creator have all been tapped as celebrity hosts for the new season of "Punk'd."
Don't miss the premiere of "Punk'd" tonight at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV, followed by the series premiere of "The Pauly D Project"! For continuing "Punk'd" and "Pauly" coverage, be sure to check in with MTV's Remote Control blog.

'Game Of Thrones' Season Two: Meet The New Blood
A would-be king and a mysterious sorceress are just two of the brand-new characters you'll meet in the 'Thrones' premiere.

"Sad" and "shocking" are easy words to use when considering the death of Lord Eddard Stark of Winterfell. "Awesome" is a less-used word, but it's no less valid; not only did his death set the standard for the twists and turns that "Game of Thrones" consistently makes from that point forward, it also paves the way for new memorable characters to fill the sizable void Ned's left behind.
Countless new heroes and villains will make their grand Westeros debuts over the course of season two, with no less than eight of them showing up in the first episode premiering this coming Sunday (April 1). From a would-be king to an incestuous wildling, here are eight new characters you'll meet in the "Game of Thrones" season-two premiere. A word of warning: Some mild spoilers lie ahead.
Stannis Baratheon
One of the five men vying for the Iron Throne, Stannis is the younger brother of late king Robert and elder brother to would-be-king Renly. It's often said the Dragonstone-based lord, a hard man and brilliant tactician, will break before he bends; his refusal to align with his brother Renly against the other competing kings is a testament to this fact. Stannis isn't without his fair of share of eccentricities, either, with his latest quirk coming in the form of his newfound faith — a faith that spawns from his new relationship with ...
Melisandre
The red priestess from Asshai is Stannis' newest and most powerful adviser. She champions R'hllor, the Lord of Light, a fiery deity foreign to Westerosi more accustomed to the faiths of the Seven and the First Men. But Melisandre's beliefs, however strange and unfamiliar they may be, aren't without foundation: The scarlet woman proves her "god-given" gifts as a sorceress on more than one occasion. Recently, Melisandre came to Stannis' home on Dragonstone to offer her support; she believes the middle Baratheon to be Azhor Azhai reborn, a prophecy-fulfilling hero of yore. Whether her beliefs pan out in reality remains to be seen.
Davos Seaworth
Another of Stannis' closest advisers is Davos, a former pirate turned knight in Stannis' service. Davos is completely and unwaveringly loyal to Stannis and is among the first to take his side in the proposed war against the Lannisters and others challenging the Iron Throne of Westeros. But Davos isn't without some doubts, either — namely, he's not quite sure what to make of Melisandre, who has made a very clear impact on Stannis and his ego since her arrival. Regardless of his feelings, Davos' primary concern is furthering Stannis' agenda — for now, at least.
Maester Cressen
Rounding out the initial Dragonstone cast is Cressen, a maester of the Citadel who has been in the Baratheon family's service since before Robert, Stannis and Renly's parents died at sea in their childhood. Now in his twilight years, Cressen wants nothing more than to continue aiding Stannis and his cause — but given his training as a maester, he cannot abide Melisandre's unusual influence over the hopeful king. Like Davos, Cressen has his doubts about the red priestess. Unlike Davos, however, Cressen is more than willing to act upon his suspicions.
Ser Dontos Hollard
Not all knights are best when armed with swords and shields; some warriors prefer a good horn of ale. Enter Ser Dontos, an absolute master when it comes to being a lush. He's come a long way since serving as a squire in King's Landing, and not in a good way: Less a knight and more a joke, the drunken Dontos could hardly harm a fly. When his drunken antics catch the attention of King's Landing's current ruler, however, it'll be Dontos in desperate need of a knight in shining armor — though a fair-haired queen-to-be will do in a pinch.
Janos Slynt
After making a brief appearance in the first season of "Game of Thrones," Slynt comes back with a more pronounced role in season two. As Commander of the City Watch of King's Landing, Slynt was partially responsible for the downfall of Eddard Stark, pledging his support to the Lord of Winterfell only to withdraw it when he was most needed. But the role Slynt had to play in Ned's death is nothing compared to the future atrocities he'll commit in King Joffrey's service.
Craster
As Jon Snow and the sworn brothers of the Night's Watch proceed beyond the Wall, they'll find themselves face to face with numerous wildlings — some fearsome, some harmless and some that are just flat-out disgusting. Craster falls into that last category. The master of Craster's Keep, this guy makes Jaime and Cersei Lannister's incest look positively pure: Craster prides himself on his many wives, who, in actuality, are his daughters. He continuously breeds with these women to produce more and more "wives." Pretty gross, right? Don't even ask what he does with his occasional sons.
Gilly
One of Craster's many wives/daughters, Gilly is a sweet-faced wildling who longs for freedom. Currently pregnant with one of Craster's children, Gilly fears that her offspring will be a boy, an outcome that would not fare well in Craster's eyes. To save herself and her unborn child from her grim fate, Gilly turns to the one man on the Night's Watch who's probably more terrified than she is: the craven Samwell Tarly.

'Hunger Games' Star Liam Hemsworth Is 'Team Haymitch'
'Woody Harrelson is one of my favorite actors, and I was really, really excited to see Haymitch come to life,' Aussie actor tells MTV News.

As painful as it has been for us "Hunger Games" fans to wait for the film's release, imagine how anxious the stars themselves have been to see it.
We've heard how Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson reacted to seeing the finished film for the first time, and now it's time to hear what co-star Liam Hemsworth had to say after his first viewing.
"It was amazing just to see all the different actors and what they've done with it," Hemsworth told MTV News recently. "Woody Harrelson is one of my favorite actors, and I was really, really excited to see Haymitch come to life. He's awesome. I'm Team Haymitch all the way; I think he's amazing.
"The movie is intense from beginning to end, and it's powerful," Hemsworth added about the finished product. "You have this girl who gives so much hope and courage to everyone, and Jennifer is the perfect person to play it. She pulled it off perfect."
After joking with the Aussie actor about how his brother, "Thor" star Chris Hemsworth, helped him prepare for the initial audition, we asked Liam how he approached his character knowing that, while he doesn't have a lot of screen time, his role in Katniss' life is vital.
"It does add a little pressure. It's always harder when you're coming in for smaller amounts and you have to convey everything that needs to be conveyed in small moments, but the writing was that good that it wasn't hard," Hemsworth said of maximizing his screen time. "The director was that good and Jennifer was amazing, so it was all kind of already there."
